THE JAZZ AGE

SOMETIMES IT'S GOOD TO BE A LINE

These started out as a silly game.  As I was playing around on a new drawing app drawing squiggles, faces began to appear. With eyes closed, draw one or two squiggles and then try to see the face.  What is the minimum number of lines needed to convey a face?  What are the most essential elements? I have always been inspired by the simplicity of Al Hirschfeld and the clean lines and shapes of Art Deco.
